Pay
$28–$38/hour depending on experience, assignment, and shift. Executive protection details and cannabis assignments pay at the top of the range.
What You’ll Do
- All standard security officer duties (patrol, access control, observe and report, incident documentation)
- Carry firearm per BSIS regulations and site-specific post orders
- Maintain heightened situational awareness at high-risk posts
- Coordinate directly with law enforcement during incidents
- Maintain firearms qualification and permit currency
- Executive protection assignments: advance work, discreet coverage, principal escort
Requirements
- Current California BSIS Guard Card (required)
- Current California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (required)
- Own firearm meeting BSIS requirements, or ability to qualify with company-approved firearm
- 21+ years of age
- 1+ years armed security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Clean background (verified through BSIS and DOJ)
- Excellent judgment under pressure
Shifts and Schedule
Full-time preferred. Day, evening, and overnight shifts. Executive protection assignments may involve variable hours and travel within California.
